Working Out For The Dating Guy

When men are dating they naturally want to look their best. In fact if they don`t strive to look their best they will probably not have much success with women. That is just the way it is. Therefore, men have to not only watch what they eat and drink but they also must get actively involved in working out.
When it comes to working out with weights and doing aerobics a man has to keep in mind his ultimate goal. I have found that women are just not overly attracted to big bulky hulks for the most part. They are also not usually attracted to skinny men. The dating guy must workout with this in mind. Even if a man has a steady girlfriend chances are that in order to keep her he needs to workout with a specific goal of attracting the opposite sex in mind. That is the theme of "Working Out For The Dating Guy". In this ebook I explain step by step workouts with weights, aerobics - running and otherwise and eating and drinking with the simple goal of attracting beautiful women.
The way I see it, lifting weights, running non-stop without a specific goal in mind is just a waste of time and energy which may be taking you further away from your goal. Working Out For The Dating Guy

Goals Achievement

Let’s talk about goals for a moment. I think most people are confused as to what having a goal means. After thousands of self help books have been published (many great ones I might add), explaining how a person can achieve his or her goals many people still just do not get it. And I see why. I also at times have gotten lost on the journey of this important part of life.

First of all let’s start with an example. You will see why I start with an example in a moment. Let’s pretend a guy named Fred wants a house and he currently lives in an apartment. He thinks to himself, wow I am a real go-getter so he goes out and browses the section in his favorite bookstore where the home magazines are displayed. He sees all different types of homes in these magazines. He sees a beautiful Florida style home and says to himself, I live in the north I cannot have a home like that in the North. So he continues to look and sees a lot of homes that he just loves. He buys the magazines and goes back to his apartment and sits all day Sunday looking at these beautiful “dream homes:” Fantastic right. Yes. He is on the right track in a way. At least he is imagining the possibilities but obviously he lacks focus. To continue, He puts put the magazines beside the couch where they sit for the next few months until one day he thinks, “Those magazines are old. I am going to trash them. I will get new ones some day soon.”

A few more months go by. He goes back to his favorite bookstore and he browses the same magazines. But now he notices that all the basic designs are the same and haven’t changed very much. He looks inside one of the magazines and sees the blue print for one of the homes. He has a bright idea. He can build the house himself. He thinks, “Why didn’t I think of that before?” So he moves quickly along to the section on how to build a home. He finds several books on how to build a home. None of them contain his dream home but he figures that if he learns the basics he can add his plans to fit his needs. So he pays for these books, returns to his apartment and spends all day Sunday reading these books on how to build his own home. Monday comes and he decides it would be best to stack these books beside the couch until he can get back to them. Months pass and he is still living in the same apartment and no closer to his “dream home”.

He gets together with his family for thanksgiving and his sister asks him, “Hey when are you going to buy a home and move out of that small apartment?” He responds that he is going to build his own home and the message goes around the table with each family member making a comment. Fred’s uncle tells him that he also always wanted to build his own home but he never got around to it. Fred’s mom reminds him that he is an accountant and asks when are he is ever going to get around to building a house. His sister who has never had any desire to build a house asks why he is going to build his own home, when there are already so many nice homes on the market. For that, he does not have an answer. Fred gets angry even though he is not the angry type and decides that he is going to show them. And he decides he is going to build his dream Florida home even though he lives in Minnesota.

Okay, let’s pause for a moment. First of all Fred obviously has no idea what he really wants. He has wasted a lot of time on “dream schemes” to get his dream home. But nothing has panned out so far. His goal has changed from having his own house, to having his dream house, to building his own home, to building a dream Florida home and now his real goal is none of the above. His real goal now is to “show them” because he is angry. Although, anger and the “I will show them” attitude sometimes works out it is not the best of motivators because being angry all the time is not healthy. It is not consistent with an enjoyable and healthy lifestyle. So, later Fred realizes that his family was just trying to help and cools down. With this cooling period goes his goal of showing them that he is going to build his own home. He decides that he likes his apartment and buys a new couch. Six months later his sister asks him how the home building is going and asks where he is going to build. He does not have an answer for this because he never thought about where to build his dream home. He thinks about the comments that his uncle made and goes back to his favorite book store and buys home design books. Years go by and Fred goes through this pattern again and again wasting time and money but more importantly he is wasting “dream potential.” I call this dream potential because if you suffer from “dream failure” (lack of achieving goals) too many times, your dream potential (potential to achieve goals) begins to dwindle.

Now let’s look at what Fred may have done differently. Goals can be achievements or desires. But when you get your goals tangled up in a web of confusion you may never achieve or obtain them. First, Fred should have looked at what he has and what he desires and compare the two. He lives in an apartment. He should have gone out and looked at houses he could realistically afford, buy a newspaper and check out the houses for sale section, and look at real estate magazines in a grocery store near where he desires to live. If he can afford an apartment chances are he can afford a house that would be a step up from where he is currently living. He could talk to a bank about financing and cost. Or he could search all the above online. He could look at working extra to buy a home that would be closer to his “dream home”. But in any case he should have taken positive steps to get what he wants. He must realize first and foremost that he is not a carpenter or a contractor. He is an accountant and has expressed no desire to change his profession. He lacks focus and is bouncing around getting angry at people for giving their opinions instead of taking good advice. Most importantly, he could have been in a house years ago and be thinking about adding on, moving to a bigger place, building a pool or a whole bunch of other goals that would have sprung form this goal potential fountain.

Don’t be like Fred. Don’t get caught up in “dream schemes.” Decide what you want and go for it. When you see yourself dreaming even bigger, write these dreams down and keep them but do not be controlled by them. Your first step is to achieve your smaller dreams. Realize that you have limited time and limited energy. You do not have to build everything yourself. You do not have to repair everything yourself. Your number one focus has to be on achieving your goals. Do not get side tracked. Your dream goals will be only be achieved by taking a step by step approach. You can be proud of these smaller goals and know that they are taking you in the direction you desire.

I hope you enjoyed this brief example. In the above lesson, I started with an example because I had a goal of teaching about goal achievement. I knew what I wanted and knew the best way to get there without getting side tracked. I like to teach by example rather than just tell you what you need to do. People do not respond well to being told what to do and examples give you the overall idea that can be used in other different but similar circumstances. I bet if you try you can think of other examples of where people have gotten side tracked from their goals. I would appreciate you sharing these with me.
